meet Jason FerberABOUT

When I first started my photographic journey, I swore I would never shoot a wedding because “that’s just crazy!”. I took pictures of friends, family, landscapes and bands. Eventually I found myself at Georgian College in the Digital Photography program and, against all odds, apprenticing with a guest speaker for 5 years as second photographer, editor and album designer for his busy wedding career. I was hooked! The chaos, the beauty, the excitement of it all sparked something in me.

 

I could gush about how much I “love love”, and how special weddings are, and all the usual mush mush. But you know what? I don’t know why I shoot weddings! They are frenzied, uncontrollable beasts that turn me into a vibrating bundle of nerves for days before them. The day of? It all goes away, the magic unfolds; I find myself smiling, laughing, embracing the insanity and at the end of the day happy, content and somehow wanting to do it all over again.

Jason Ferber

Selected as the top student portrait photographer by the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada), Jason is an honours graduate from the Digital Photography and Imaging program at Georgian College.  A member of NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals), Jason is continuously educating himself on the latest trends and techniques.  For the past 2 years, he has been apprenticing with wedding photography expert Robert Holmgren.

With experience in weddings, commercial, entertainment and fine art photography, Jason is comfortable in most any environment. His enthusiasm and ease with people will give your date a unique touch.
