Before Katie & Rich’s wedding, I had never heard of the Stockey Centre. I asked some general questions about it, was told it had the “Bobby Orr Hall of Fame” inside it, and found myself thinking “how on earth do you have wedding THERE?”. Thankfully, the vision I had in my head was all wrong! It turns out there is a beautiful concert hall inside with retractable seating. Yes, retractable. It was so cool! There is a gorgeous patio overlooking the water, and course if you’re a big hockey fan, you could always head into the hall of fame for some photos (we didn’t, they weren’t – because I know you’re already wondering).
We started the day at a quaint B&B called Bayside Inn, where everybody from the wedding was getting ready. This created a genuine comedy show trying to keep people who weren’t supposed to be seeing each other apart, but we were successful! Katie and Rich took turns sneaking outside for some portraits, then it was off to the venue for an outdoor ceremony in the warm afternoon sunshine. A few pictures of the happy couple, then we headed inside to enjoy the rest of the evening in their beautifully decorated space.
As the evening was drawing to a close, they managed to slip outside for some final pictures with the setting sun. It’s hard to beat that kind of a backdrop!
Once again you’ve outdone yourself! Great photos from a great photographer!!
